Born in Calgary, Alberta, James has been creating art since he could hold a crayon. From a very young age he has forever had the dream to become an artist and has strived to reach that goal through constant practice at his craft. James has spent years working on his skills and refining what he loves to paint. Originally painting mountains and flowers, he has moved on to create stunning wildlife. He strives to make the animal appear as if it is in the room and believes that the most important part of the animal is the eyes, they show the character, emotions and intentions of the animal.

“When someone sees one of my paintings I want them to be drawn in, I want the viewer to feel like they are in the scene I am portraying and feel a connection”.
